So are all the people who raged over Sting's last sentence being cut off going to go twice as hard on WWE for botching this or or will they slide?
We already know the answer.

Nah should’ve gone over. Should’ve been a squash really like how he squashed Gay WyFatt. Gunther is nowhere near Goldberg’s level

And Tony doesn't know how to manage time. All 15 matches don't have to go 20+ minutes. Cut 5-10 minutes off every match and you can show Sting's speech on ppv.
I legitimately think the Goldberg speech was never meant to be on network TV which had to be out at 9. I think it was for the house only. The Seth injury messed up their timing

Correct. This should have been a Lesnar/Kofi style squash. He was there defending his son's honor. He should have cut Gunther down and retired on Raw with the title.

It's a good thing this was his last match. With the way he's been portrayed his whole career getting choked out by Gunther guarantees he'll never be taken seriously again.

It was a sad end to a great career. TK offered him a retirement match and he declined because AEW were "small time". So he retired in a half assed build of a match on a free TV show instead of at a PPV and they didn't even give him a speech. Absolutely sad how Haitch screwed him. Probably still salty.

Jewish arrogance is why we had this event in the first place. It was basically like some sort of birthday celebration type event for kikeberg where he can go out and do his shitty old act that got tired 20 years but with like 75% less physicality. Goldberg headlining a ppv, even if b level, shows wwe doesn't have much going on creatively. But I don't need to tell you that, everyone knows.

They literally already did the "I'm coming back to see one more time if I still got it!". Like 4-5 times already. Move on already. I wouldn't put it past shelelberg to accept a future Saudi offer either.

As far as retirement matches go, it was a valiant effort.
Putting the leg brace was a genius move though and doing one standing whatever that lift was called ticked all the highlight reel boxes better than most retirement matches.
Certainly better and longer than Goldberg deserved, but it's over now so...

No selling shit on the way out shows incompetence at many levels. When Goldberg no sold in the past it was supposed to be about building him up... which was at the expense of the people he faced. What is the point of building up Goldberg now, at the expense of Gunther, when Goldberg will be gone forever while Gunther is an integral part of the show?

How is anyone supposed to take Gunthers chops serous now when this geriatric jew just laughs at them? Is it a big accomplishment that Gunther beat a 60 year old tired kike? What does this do for Gunther besides make some of his moves look weak?

it's not incompetence. he knows how to sell. he is not completely retarded. it is part of his wrestling character and they almost definitely discussed it beforehand. hogan was still hulking up when he was 50 and wrestling the rock. you are only saying this because it's goldberg and smarks have a hate boner for him. I'm pretty sure sting was still doing his pounding his chest no-sell crap up until his retirement too

Let me ask you this for the sake of perspective- What do you think of Gunthers chops now that a 60 year old kike has no reaction to them? What does it say about the roster now, if they do sell them? Need I go further with this?

goldberg is a legendary powerhouse wrestler with one of the highest power levels in wrestling history. it is part of his character. do you expect him to instantly fold over some chops? did you say the same about hogan hulking up against all of the roster in 2002?

He's an elderly jewish man that predicated his wrestling style on strength and is now over 60. Like I said, any offense should have been the result of gunther being overconfident or something. Goldberg should be protecting the chops because the chops will be there tomorrow, he won't. Selling on your way out is proper etiquette for a reason. That does beyond simply losing match. Gunther has moves that need protecting. His chops look like dogshit now, there's no denying that. Just another reason why people aren't as invested anymore. Why watch if they keep telling you these new guys are just not as good as the old guys?

Hogan still had more matches post 2002. You aren't understanding the concept of why it's important for wrestlers to sell for each other. It's so that they can draw for future matches. Goldberg needed to sell for Gunthers moveset for his future matches. Goldberg didn't need to no sell except for his own ego or ignorance or whatever. It was an amateur call.

I don't think it's just Tony allocating too much time.
The talent can't keep time.
When the ref says "3 minutes to home", that's your go signal for the finish.
If talent are telling the ref "relax we got this Tony's fine with it", they all go too long.
And Tony then needs to tell them off for it, but he's scared to criticise them for going too long I guess.
