You now remember the amount of hatred the fans used to harbor for Roman

What does /pw/ think of it in hindsight?

Used to?

He is still an aura black hole with no mic skills and only 3 moves in the ring.

Deserved. Reigns was the shits back then but Vince insisted on rocket propelling him to the moon.

i don't hear people consistently booing him whenever he appears onscreen. i don't like him, but the majority of the fans in the arenas do.

The heel turn did so much good for him. He got to show more character and have more compelling stories. Him having a monster title reign helped too. Now that he is barely around, he can keep showing up and the fans won't see him go stale.

they obviously should have turned him much earlier, by the time he beat taker he was more than ready, but it may not have worked with his look back then. they really lucked out with the return from cancer, the new look, the added mass, the lack of other discernible main eventers, and so on. as much as i hated how much he hogged the spot, his run did save the company.

I didnt like reigns either back then but shit like this eventually made me hate the anti roman cult. They randomly decided samoa joe was going to debut even though it was never advertised. Then when roman came out they got mad at him for some reason

The big dog was always based and drew dimes. Obese smelly smarks were just mad Rusev didn't win the royal rumble. I say good riddance to those faggots after they stopped watching. Roman has always been /ourguy/. Do not let Hogwheels or Ojama try to dissuade you from the truth with their shitty attempts at rewriting history.

He's better now, but come on, "Let me beat everyone four fucking years, while barely showing up for the latter half".. like you don't think most people who had his potential would get there.

Even now, he just doesn't have the length of time to really mean something despite Bloodline being a big thing. When his matches work, they work well, but he's kind of like HHH where he things "long=epic" and when it doesn't work you want to kill yourself. So many matches, where he does a move and just taunt spams or talks to a bored crowd who is waiting for the fuck finish.

In hindsight, WWE did listen because they turned him heel and that was a far easier role for him. Objectively, Roman failed to take the rub as a face, but he managed to do it as a heel so WWE was right in seeing something in him, but they just did it the dumbest way possible.

Was this the one where Rusev was under the ring and everyone was begging WWE for him to throw Roman out?

I hated Roman back then. I like him now. However I don't understand the part time schedule thing. He is not that good to demand something like that especially since he went part time the moment he finally got over.

It was not really his fault -- they pushed him as a totally boring babyface. Rollins and Moxley both got new music and gear while he kept coming out to the Shield music with his Shield vest on lol. The Tribal Chief was more interesting for awhile but there is nothing really left to do with him unless he gets a full personality transplant.
