I love Black Sabbath, but if you knew anything about guitar, you would know that Iommi wasn't doing anything physically different from other guitarists of his era, outside of just writing really excellent riffs. His disability did not affect his songwriting, that's just part of the mythmaking.

Also, there's blues influence all over the first few Sabbath albums, and arguably their whole discography. They started as a blues band called Earth before changing their image.
