Went back home, but according to dirtsheets and rumors (which should obviously all be believed without question or else you're a smelly nerd) he was bedridden at home and a vegetable. Sudden heart attack and done. Pronounced dead before he even arrived at the hospital which makes me wonder how long he was alone and why no one noticed.
My theory is that he was killed by his family either directly or by negligence, so they (the newly formed "Hogan Estate") could protect his image and start cashing in on Hulkster merchandise.
