This is the full truth:
Hogan is only outright hated by bitter former coworkers, a small percentage of salty black people over his leaked audio, and a fairly large percentage of white libs which, admittedly isn't a small group, but that's still not "near-universal"
If you genuinely think the vast majority of the US, much less the world, hates Hogan as much as you just because he was an old white republican asshole who buried his co-workers, was racist in private and told lies all the time in public, then you are really delusional
Most people simply can't be bothered to care more about that than what he achieved in his wrestling career. For most people, the man was just too much of a megastar and inspiration in his prime for his personal flaws to overshadow it. We literally have well-known left-leaning political commentators right now who are coming out giving tributes to him and admitting they were Hulkamaniacs (see Cenk Uygur)
Hogan was simply too based for most people to hate him for his flaws. Period.
