Hogan and Austin were the top faces of their era but Hogan was a huge deal as the top heel while Austin's turn killed the business, all so he could be a mark and wanted to do a heel run. Both are top tier but Hogan did so much more for the business and even gave back to it far more than Austin did.

Both were great performers that gave the world hundreds of hours of entertainment, went the extra mile for their fans, and are both more watchable than any of the dimeless "superstars" in the Fed today. It's a testament to their talent that you can watch any of their old matches and still be entertained. Classic Era Hulk and Attitude Era Steve are both timeless. Most importantly, both have/had a reputation of being nice guys to fans irl, regardless of whatever personal problems they may have had.
