For me, I did believe it, but when he made the cash in I wasn't surprised. Regardless of working people, it's a retarded booking decision that literally makes no sense.
Why would Seth need to fake an injury to cash in? He has two body guards he can take anywhere with him and could've easily swept Punk at Summerslam. The ONLY way the angle could've worked is if every wrestler was actively trying to sabotage Seth and "deliberately injure him", steal his briefcase, prevent his cash in, whatever.
This just came off as a desperation move because WWE (or Hunter) has no idea how the fuck to properly layer storytelling.
So I mean sure, even the most cynical smark probably bought into it, but none of them should be surprised it happened. Just disappointed.
