I like to think more people are as smart as me and understand that wrestling quality has been in an absolute free fall since the 70s. It is a dead art form. It’s zombified corpse shambling along with no concept of actually trying to emotionally connect with the audience, get genuine heat or just eliciting any reaction beyond getting a pop for cool move.
But in the case of tubers and influencers they’re probably just tired of having to tip toe around the tribalism.

Because the only modern stuff worth watching on a regular basis these days is joshi and most people aren't ready to accept that.
Flame away but it's true. That's the real reason so many push it around here - we're not all coomers and waifufags although that's a fun way to expose people to it. Women can't do what men do physically, so while men are focused on doing cool moves women are actually telling emotionally-engrossing stories both in and out of the ring.

Honestly, I've watched Noah a bit the past month. I find it a lot more watchable than New Japan. The Ozawa championship run was good, Kenoh beating him was a nice twist, and then Kenta taking the belt off Kenoh the next day was superb. They're going into an interesting N1 season so I'd offer that might be worth watching as well.

I think there’s a lot of good wrestling since the 70s. But it’s a clear decline in quality. I would say wrestling officially died in 2009 with misawa, not because of it, though it didn’t help. I know a lot of you less educated fans like the Okada era, but I never needed white boys to watch Japanese wrestling so I understood it as the shell of its former greatness.

But no, nothing is going to be as good as the old days. There was a lot of toxicity in the industry back then. It made the product better. But it also destroyed lives. Wrestling has gone down hill largely because it's embraced the fact that it's a fake sport with no real reasons to maintain kayfabe any longer.

Openers aren't going to blow your socks off because they've literally been doing this maybe a year or two.
