>go on /v/
>all of the humor and discussion is garbage
>go on the handful of other boards I browse
>humor and discussion is eh with a few pops
>go on /pw/
>discussion is sometimes decent, but it’s fucking hilarious
>in fact wrestling in general is funnier than everything else (not better like some people say I think the current state of wrestling is shit, but it’s more interesting because it’s funnier)
Why is wrestling so funny and why is /pw/ so funny? Why are so many wrestlers, on screen talents, and backstage guys lolcows?

/v/ fell off so hard. I stopped going to /tv/ when they kept crying over black people being in shows and movies when black people were in shows and movies since shows and movie were invented. /ck/ is the only other board I'll pop over and check out anymore, they are occasionally absurdly funny there for a food board

Because we know how to work a work. It’s built into the very fiber of wrestling, so understanding how to not get worked while working smarks comes naturally

Sad. Came here for /b/ in 08 but /mu/ and /v/ were GOAT boards. /Mu/ died around 2014 and the last hurrah for /v/ was the onions boy christmas right around 2016 I think but then again, the site fell off entirely right around that time. If it wasn't for wrestling, I may not even be here but thankfully /wwe/ on /sp/, /asp/, and /pw/ kept 4chan alive for me

They are absolute faggots. I made a thread asking what people are replacing eggs with in their recipes since prices were going up and the thread got deleted with no explanation. It'd be better to delete that whole board, it's slow and way over-moderated.

You have a very strange sense of humor if you think autistic spamming and console wars are funny.

I think /pw/ has all the traits that make a board better. It's a hobby board that's very distant from anything political, so you don't have literal teams of discord troons and political agents stalking it 24/7. The hobby attracts somewhat weird younger middle/working class men, who are the princes of the fun-internet. By pure luck we had fun schizos like Carter who spammed threads about Westler's Court and birdbrains instead of calling Smiling Friends neopuritan or telling me about a trust fund band. Pro-Wrestling is also an established community with its own memes, so it's easier to just pick up on /pw/. In movies or vidya, every piece of content has to have its own fans, but we're fans of an entire medium in the sense that we can watch any random bingo hall and call someone a KWAB.

The high points of /pw/ and /asp/ are when there's no console warring or drama, and the jannies are super light-handed. Drama and console warring makes a board as unfun as politics does on the other boards. And jannies heavily influence a board's culture, because no one is willing to post anything that takes effort if the board has fag jannies who will randomly delete stuff. This is a huge problem. Just posting on 4chan is bound to catch you the occasional 3-day because a mod was on their boiperiod, but posting threads or doing anything that really draws attention to you is basically asking to be banned.

It's crazy to think about how many th*rdies flooded the internet in just the past decade. Everyone was complaining about phoneposters and normies, but we failed to see the bigger threat.

>>18468666
/asp/ and /pw/ were the last bastions of old shitposting for fun culture on this website. When buck breaking flooded /tv/, I was seriously impressed that it was even possible for that to happen anymore. It seemed like the posters would be too divided and the jannies too militant for random funposting like that to happen. Everyone was doomed by 2016 though. With every week that went by, you could feel this website get worse and worse in 2016/2017.

I used to get big pops on /ck/ making fun of the people who push the wypipo don season they food angle have dead palates and that's why they have to dump the entire spice rack (or the contents of an entire shaker of lawry seasoned salt) into the food to taste anything. Then I would explain why overspiced food was necessary to the ancestors of these people to kill off harmful bacteria and shit in rotting veggies and half rotten meat and make it safe to eat.
Not my finest moment but it would sting the occasional person.
