I still can't believe they chose Sami over him to dethrone Gunther at Mania. The Gable-Gunther storyline was the easiest layup heading into WM40

They caved to the online response about his firing and brought him back. Then they made him turn heel to a serious character and then do nothing with him. In short, the HHH special, barely using guys or massively misusing them all to cool them off. People just wanted Truth to be a mainstay funny guy, a couple minutes every week just to add some variety to the show.
