I can kind of see why. In other promotions people are there to see the wrestling, in WWE they're going for le epic moments, celebrities and because of the name value. No one's actually going to see the wrestlers in the main event

Did anyone actually read Danielson's full explanation? He said that he wanted to celebrate the moment with his family (getting in the ring with him), but he wasn't allowed to. He didn't think the moment was as meaningful because he didn't get to celebrate his title win the way he wanted to. Since he was allowed that liberty in AEW when he won the title, that is why it was special to him.

As much as I rip on modern wrestling, Danielson is a phenomenal worker and even though I would prefer it if wrestling was divided into at least 2 weight divisions, Danielson got himself over to the point that he earned that spot in WrestleMania XXX. I think one day looking back he will recognize how special it was. Even if not, it was a big moment for his fans.
