It was never on the table when they negotiated with Netflix because >1) the rights were with Peacock at the time >2) ESPN and WWE were negotiating before this for the entire network and had probably worked out the framework for this to happen so it was never offered to Netflix.
Under Nick WWE is trying to not devote their content to one platform.

Hogans death brought wrestling back into the mainstream and now their a hot product again brother. its a shame cause im willing to tune into netflix out of convenience but i wont bother following anything on ESPN.

Seems like they massively overpaid. How many PLEs does WWE event do a year? I know there the big 5 are going to two nights but I donβt see why they will pay that much for like 10-12 PLEβs.

The only way WWE makes money is through rights deals, and the more rights deals, the more money.
In the future, expect each PLE to be auctioned off to streaming services individually.
