The weekly ROH "shows" have squash and slop matches with the occasional banger. But for PPVs, they push out all the regulars and borrow AEW stars instead. So what's the point? Pretty much. NXT going head to head wrecked it because the audience had a large crossover and whilst it did its job of stopping AEW’s early momentum, it ruined NXT’s reputation and bruised HHH’s ego. Took years to rebuild NXT again, and even that required lots of main roster cameos, crossovers, and nostalgia.
Now they can run the plan again only this time they can happily sacrifice TNA to the wolves without worrying about their own shows taking a head to head hit.
