Do you even watch the shows? Arai has been pushed as the next ace for a while now. Teaming with Akai, getting big matches against Aja and Satomura, getting a IP title run, getting a POP title match on a big show.
If you donโ€™t see how much more likely it is for her to win the title than it is for Arisu the jobber who won 2 matches in the tournament that always has upsets then youโ€™re legit retarded.

>Miu: I won the quarterfinal singles match against Haru! When it comes to Haru, thereโ€™s definitely a difference in experience, plus she's still in high school. But I could really feel how fired up Haru was since this is her last summer as a high school student. Last year, she won the NexGen Tournament, so I think that was the biggest summer for Haru so far โ€” the biggest summer of her life. But today, after fighting her, I felt that Haru is someone who will keep growing even more from here on. Iโ€™m really looking forward to whatโ€™s ahead. From now on, I want us to become players who can push each other to improve even more. But I ended Haruโ€™s summer here! Yay!

>Haru: In the Princess Cup quarterfinals, I had a singles match against Miu-san... and unfortunately, I lost. Even though I lost, I think Kazashiro has definitely gotten stronger compared to last year. Last year, I was knocked out in the first round, but this year I made it to the quarterfinals. Thereโ€™s a part of me that wants to believe Iโ€™ve grown, that Iโ€™ve gotten stronger, but to be honest, Iโ€™m still nowhere near catching up. Iโ€™m still far behind Miu-san, and I canโ€™t even say Iโ€™m close โ€” Iโ€™m really at the bottom. Itโ€™s been about a year and a half since I last faced Miu-san, and I thought I wouldโ€™ve really grown and gotten stronger, but I realized Iโ€™m still very inexperienced. But being able to fight Miu-san as Haru Kazashiro in my current state today was a huge milestone โ€” I think it was an important point in my life as Kazashiro. The Princess Cup is over, but Kazashiroโ€™s last summer of high school isnโ€™t finished yet โ€” thereโ€™s about half a year left. I want to polish my movements even more and keep growing as much as possible.

>Arai: I advanced past the second roundโ€”Yuki Arai did it! Yay! I fought against Wakana Uehara, and we also faced each other in last yearโ€™s tournament. This was our first match since then, and although Wakana is my junior, I really feel the incredible speed of her growth. After fighting her two years in a row, I wondered what sheโ€™ll be like after another year passes. So I want to grow too, so that even a year from now, I can still beat her. Even though sheโ€™s my junior, sheโ€™s been a big inspiration to me. Today, my joints hurt from Wakanaโ€™s tight holds, so Iโ€™ll rest up well and prepare for the next match. Thank you!

>Uehara: I was defeated in the quarterfinals of this 2025 Cup. Last year, I also lost to Arai-san, so once again I couldnโ€™t overcome the wall that is Yuki Arai. Itโ€™s really frustrating. But itโ€™s not that I havenโ€™t grown since last yearโ€”Iโ€™ve done a lot of research and feel that Iโ€™ve made progress in my own way. However, Arai-san has gained even more momentum, and I couldnโ€™t close the gap between us. After fighting today, I really felt how strong her momentum is. But after the match, when I faced Arai-san, I want her to win this year since I lost to her. Actually, after fighting her, I think Arai-san might just take the championship this year. I wasnโ€™t able to become the dark horse this year, but I hope Arai-san wins.

>Arisu Endo: I, Arisu Endo, won! Ever since it was decided that Iโ€™d face Yamashita-san, a flood of past memories came rushing back. When I debuted and had singles matches, I was completely outmatched and could only cling on doing my best with what I had. Recently, I lost the tag team belt directly and felt incredibly frustrated. But I donโ€™t think Iโ€™d be the Arisu Endo I am now without that past. Yamashita-san made me feel all these things. Iโ€™m truly saved by Yamashita-san. It might sound strange to say this, but when I fight Yamashita-san, an unknown fire inside me ignites, and honestly, I donโ€™t know if itโ€™s okay to say this, but itโ€™s fun. It really fires me up, so I want to keep fighting and clashing with Yamashita-san from now on. And Arisu Endo will conquer this tournament. Thank you for your support.

>Yamashita: I lost. Today, I was beaten by Endo. Itโ€™s frustrating, but I have to switch my mindset to โ€œI absolutely wonโ€™t lose next time.โ€ There were many things I was thinking about during the tournament, and as I said at the press conference, I also wanted to fight Rika. Rika lost too, and since I lost, none of that came true. This summer has been really bad for me. My summer and the tournament are over now. Itโ€™s incredibly frustrating, but Iโ€™ve shifted my mindset to turning this frustration into power and evolving. But today, I lost. I lost to Arisu. Thatโ€™s exactly why Iโ€™ll become even stronger.

>Nakajima: Yes! Iโ€™ve made it to the semifinals. My long-cherished wish to have a match against Mizuki, who holds the Princess of Princess belt, while I hold the MLW belt, has finally come true. But I really felt that todayโ€™s match was just a point along the journey. When Mizuki is actually defending that belt, her style feels different, so the big prerequisite is for me to get to that level. When we fight next time, I want it to be as a champion. Yeah, today is just a step along the way. Thatโ€™s why I definitely want to reach Mizuki again.

>Mizuki: There were so many things I wanted to do after winning the tournament, but since Iโ€™m really frustrated, I want Shoko-san to win. I want to get a revenge through her. Even though I lost in the tournament, I still have many goals. Anyway, Iโ€™ll work hard again to become stronger.
>โ€” There was talk about putting the belt on the line next time, right?
>Mizuki: Honestly, I wanted to say that I want to put the belt on the line, but even if I canโ€™t say that, the frustration remains. I want Shoko-san to win, get even stronger, and then Iโ€™ll challenge her with the belt on the line. I want her to win.
>โ€” If Nakajima doesnโ€™t win, would you want to get revenge through a title defense?
>Mizuki: Yes, I want to. Because Iโ€™m really competitive. Plus, Iโ€™ve always wanted to beat Shoko-san, so I donโ€™t want this to end like this.

>Arai: We've really had so many singles matches, and we've even had title matches. Recently, the last time I fought for the Princess of Princess title shot was against Arisu-chan here. Being able to face her again at a time like this... itโ€™s scary, but I also feel happy. For me, this is already the third time participating in the lottery after making it to the best 4. But on the flip side, I also feel like this is as far as Iโ€™ve gotten so far, so this year I want to beat Arisu-chan and go even further!
>Arisu: Honestly, every single time, why does Yuki Arai have to show up right at the crucial moments? Actually, this was my first time ever doing a lottery in a tournament. Itโ€™s the first time I made it to the best 4. And then Yuki Araiโ€ฆ Iโ€™ve only lost to her. Iโ€™ve never beaten her. So, Iโ€™m going to beat Yuki Arai, get to the finals, and win the tournament! Thatโ€™s all there is to it.
>โ€”How do you feel about your opponentโ€™s momentum?
>Arai: Itโ€™s amazing, isnโ€™t it? Iโ€™ve been watching her defeat one incredible opponent after another to get this far in the tournament. Honestly, itโ€™s intense. I really feel like Arisu Endo this year has reached the highest possible level in momentum and everything else. That makes me even more determined to beat Arisu-chan.
>Arisu: I definitely donโ€™t think Yuki Araiโ€™s momentum will stop... but I will stop Yuki Araiโ€™s momentum here.
>โ€”How confident are you after your victory over Miyu Yamashita?
>Arisu: My confidence has really increased. Itโ€™s so high now that I can only see a future where I win.
>โ€”Does facing an opponent like that make your desire to win even stronger?
>Arai: Of course. I absolutely will not lose!
>Arisu: I wonโ€™t lose!

>Miu: So, Iโ€™m facing Nakajima-san in this lottery... and, well, sheโ€™s staring at me intensely (laughs). But since Nakajima-san won the overseas belt this year, sheโ€™s been running full throttle all the time, and her eyes are even more fierce now... even right now. I really felt that incredible speed when we had a singles match in Texas. Also, even though it was a tag match in Ota Ward, I sensed it again during the title match. Iโ€™ve experienced a lot of that, and since I see her every day working so hard and putting in so much effort... sheโ€™s definitely a worthy opponent. I never thought Iโ€™d have to face her again in a lottery match like this, and again in the summer. But in our last singles match, I was the one who won. No matter what, I want to reclaim the Princess title this summer, so I absolutely want to win here and advance.
>Nakajima: I donโ€™t have any special enthusiasm! โ€ฆWell, yeah. The match with Miu in Texas got quite a bit of praise, but honestly, Iโ€™m not happy being praised for a match I lost. This time, I want to win and earn the praise. Thatโ€™s all. No special enthusiasm!
>Miu: Even if you say thatโ€ฆ (laughs).
>โ€”Who do you want to face in the finals?
>Miu: Iโ€™ve faced Arisu in this tournament before, but Iโ€™ve never even had a singles match with Arai-chan. So, I do want to try having a singles match with Arai-chan.
>Nakajima: Bring them both onโ€”thatโ€™s how I feel. For me, honestly, this match feels more like the final.

Ironically, it's because Arisu has beaten Misao and Miyu that she's probably not winning. To them, beating the veterans IS the push.

It's the Miu TPC booking from 3 years ago: Miu beats Shoko, then Miyu, then loses to Yuka in the final. Veterans always go over.

Of course, they had Miu lose early the next year to Kamiyu, but then win the title anyway the next spring. And she got that right to challenge for the belt via random battle royal, so they can really push whoever they want whenever they want. It's not always linear or sensible.

>>18498012
Wonder how long it would take to rehab Arisu into a serious threat? The talent and support has always been there. When it was time to give Miu the POP belt, people believed and the show drew really well because people wanted to see it.

Except he did the same thing with Shoko/Yuka a few years ago. The 'build' after Shoko beat Yuka in the summer ended up being "Shoko you beat me but now I have another chance" and then Yuka won. That was it.

Arai getting/"earning" the instant rematch, via the easier tournament bracket, is going to be enough if Koda wants it to be.

We might find it boring but the fans, especially Japanese fans, won't care. They love her anyway.

it's a schizophrenically pieced together song. there's cool sounding stuff but none of it sounds good stitched together. it's awful. a massive downgrade from brooklyn the hole which is fun and catchy and westerners love it. but even bth is a downgrade from setsunairo

The word I keep using to describe it is "cacophonous". Drum solo intro, right into chorus, right into weird rap/talky bit with fairy glockenspiel music. It sounds like someone banging pots and pans together in the studio.

For someone people claim is desperate to get signed in the West, she got rid of her catchy theme that people recognized. She even stopped using the horrible English version she spent a lot of money on.

I respect that she just wants to do her own thing, but it's certainly not in an attempt to appeal to a wider audience.

Honestly I've heard lots of idol songs that basically sound like multiple short songs or snippets of different songs stitched together. Itoh's is just especially egregious but the number of times I'll be enjoying a song and then it suddenly hits the breakdown and transforms into a totally different song (usually in the form of a rap/nu metalish/spoken word thing) for like 30-45 seconds and then just goes back to normal is absurd.
