i don't think chelsea's reign counts as a pity run. they wanted to introduce women's midcard titles and chelsea was (is) the most over woman in the midcard by a big fucking margin. if they only made one midcard title they would have put it on her still, and if they didn't make them she'd still eventually hold one of the two singles titles. zelina's run is a better example of a pity run. having said that, we still want chelsea in the bank and at least one world title run.

chelsea's not exactly bret hart but she's had good matches before and is a generally competent, if unflashy worker even if her strengths are in character work as opposed to in the ring. if you only want to count WWE then the garbage match vs michin is another.
ring work also doesn't really matter in WWE. they had the best wrestler in the world in iyo, made her a world champion, then didn't have her wrestle for 2 months. they don't care. remember that jey uso was just a world champion and they're probably about to crown jade soon.
the point is that she's giga over and not egregiously bad to the point of incompetency.
