I miss the WM40 build bros. that stretch from January 2024 to WM40 was some of the most fun and active /pw/ has been since cody returned.
>all that seth injury shitposting and theorizing
>all that punk injury shitposting
>drew winning EC
>drew getting another shot at seth
>the cody screwjob
>the rock and roman teaming up

The Rock was cutting 30 minutes promos for twitter to call Cody and Seth bitches. We didn't realize how good we had it

that period was probably the best we've had in about 20 years I would say, atleast 10. Everything really coasted along the edge of being real and fake with both the major titles perfectly and everybody played their part right.

What was so good about it? I didn't start watching again until this year

I personally didn't enjoy any of it. Ego tripping Dwayne was fucking weird and him constantly shitting on kayfabe was miserable and cringey. The backpedaling booking was messy as hell. Reigns lost all of his aura and immediately reverted into shitty 2015 level Big Dog Roman the second he had to stand next to the Rock and cut a promo. He got lil bro'ed so bad. It wasn't good

The Rock and Cody stuff was some incredibly compelling stuff. You kind of had to watch to see what was gonna happen, so it became must see tv.
It was also the start of Drew getting real hot on the mic and that was also really fun to watch, especially during Rumble season.

as I said previously, it felt super real starting with the rumble, punk was supposed to win but tore his tricep and that's when it began. They had cody go over and everybody was unsure at the time whether he'll go for roman again or will it be seth because when seth got the new belt everyone thought it was made for cody, people posted that for weeks. So cody winning and pointing at roman was a big moment. I'd agree with the other anon on everything being so unpredictable that it was must see tv. We didn't know how much of it was a work. The rock turned heel which nobody saw coming, cody and the rock had great segments even with cody usually looking significantly weaker because it really set him up as the underdog, I'm trying not to spoil too much here. This was followed by two mania main events for the one storyline which made it even bigger. With drew and punk, drew had some great promos and then him getting screwed at mania led to a great feud between him and punk, which punk really needed too, he got way better at the mic after that. It did lead to damian priest being the champion which was awful but all in all still great.

The Jan 6th Raw was so fucking shit this year, what a disappointment
50% of the show was asslicking the Netflix execs and 25% was asslicking celebrities
