Thank fucking God. I stopped watching the UFC when ESPN got the rights because I wasn't going to pay twice to watch events. I used to buy every UFC PPV up until that deal (dating back to the 9 in 99! days). I guess I'll get back in to the UFC now.

Companies only have so much money. TKO's strategy is to spread their assets around and lot of companies pay for a piece. Originally they were just going to give Paramount the Fight Nights, and they'd sell the numbered events to someone else, but Paramount was really desperate to add some sports to their portfolio, and there aren't any other sports leagues whose rights are up soon, except F1 but that's probably going to Apple. So they made TKO a huge offer, and the deal was negotiated in 48 hours.
