Hogan is a Christian. He was a Christian all through the 80s and he reconnected with Christ and was publicly baptized a few years before his death. We don't know what Hogan believed in his heart. Only God knows that. But it seems most likely that Hogan is a Christian and is therefore with Christ now.

I love the Stinger. But I never miss the opportunity to shit on Sting for Starrcade 97. Yes, Sting was the reason the match sucked. Sting was a drug addict and he came to that match completely out of shape and high as a kite. You can tell when you watch the match. Sting gets gassed early on and he acts high throughout. He had just spent the past year and a half not uttering a single word as he played the Crow gimmick. And then he shows up at Starrcade acting like Surfer Sting both in his mannerisms and his words. Sting's very first words after 1.5 years? "Mamacita!" Which he enthusiastically shouts into the camera, completely destroying the aura of Crow Sting.

This was also why Sting drops the belt not long after, then floats around with the Wolfpack in 1998 before being written off TV to go to rehab. Sting later returns in 1999 as a changed man and with the confidence he always should have head. That was when he found Christ and got saved btw. But WCW was already in freefall by then.

Amazing career, but Sting royally fucked up the Crow storyline that was the undercurrent of WCW from mid 1996 until Starrcade 1997. It's time to accept that.
