WWE will be at the top for men and women regardless of the state of the company. But it doesn't do it for me. I think WWE is the biggest because every other company is ran either by amateurs or retards.
NJPW wasn't the biggest promotion, but it undoubtedly was the best. From 2015-2022 it couldn't be denied.
Then Bushiroad partnered with AEW, lost a ton of its stars, started catering exclusively to AEW's audience, lost their home crowd, and now I genuinely doubt that it'll recover.

No, WWE is the biggest because it's cultivated the largest die hard fanbase over the past 20 years after consolidating both fanbases from the Monday Night Wars.
It was the biggest company in the country where pro-wrestling was easily the biggest deal. Pretty much the only name in the game as far as most fans in that country were concerned - if you wanted to watch pro-wrestling, you had to watch WWE.
Throw in capital from being listed on the New York Stock Exchange and strong marketing game with heavy advertising and you've got a juggernaut. It has more resources to advertise, to acquire new talent, to promote public relations, etc.
That's why it's the biggest and most prestigious. And it will remain so unless it makes some major mistakes; it doesn't really matter how good the competition is so long as it's successful in retaining its existing fan base.

The top carders that Tony would be interested in are already probably making pretty decent money with Stardom, enough where they wouldn't need to go overseas to make ends meet.
They'd make more with Tony but saying that it would necessarily be enough to convince them to upend their lives when they're already doing okay is kind of silly, especially when they're already wrestling for a company that's a bigger name in women's wrestling.

It declined heavily, yes, but it's absolutely remained the biggest name in the game. That's indisputable. Meanwhile, it's finances are stronger than AEW's (yes, Shad Khan might roughly be worth as much as WWE but Shad has a variety of interests with only a portion devoted to AEW while, meanwhile, WWE is an entire corporation devoted to pro-wrestling).
AEW is a poorly operated newcomer and NJPW was nearly killed dead by the pandemic. They are in tough positions to even compete with what WWE has. I don't think NJPW is incompetent, personally - the financial hit it took not being able to put on big shows in 2020 and 2021 can't be overstated. It wasn't going to be able to afford Okada or a lot of its western workers anymore and was probably happy to be able to drop them from the budget. Remember, New Japan isn't like Western companies because it draws most of its profits from the gates at shows, not TV.
Stardom is just smaller because it's smaller, I think Okada has done great as president so far. It was mismanaged prior to his tenure, however.

Anyone unironically worrying about the pay of someone else that isn't someone close to them is a faggot. They're grown adults. They have autonomy and responsibility for their own choices. If they get a big paycheck and they don't do anything with it and wind up crawling back to the indies or a local major promotion again, I'd call them a fucking idiot. I don't think that the pandemic hit NJPW as hard as the internet says. NOAH, AJPW, shit, even RIZIN MMA did well throughout Covid and recovered in no time.
NJPW struggled because Bushiroad is inept and they allow AEW to treat them like developmental. Bushiroad is a massive brand worth an insane amount of money, cash isn't the issue. Idiocy is.
Think about it. They've got more foreigners signed to NJPW than actual Japanese. Bushiroad can afford to bring Mercedes Mone in and have her steal the spotlight from Kairi and Tam, they can sign a who's who of who? Generic CAW gaijin but refuse to give their biggest draw the money he deserves.
That's why they're in the state they're in. Bushiroad is fucking retarded.
Stardom was also already the biggest name in women's wrestling long before Bushiroad came along. Under Bushiroad, and after Ogawa was fired, they haven't produced a single star. While again, Ogawa has Seri and Shinno.

These companies weren't nearly the size of New Japan. They operated on budgets that were tight already and depended on a lot fewer people showing up for shows. Their expenses were a lot lower.
New Japan had enormous built in expenses, from wrestlers to workers to staff to equipment to vendor deals and other operations. It worked in better times because the money was flowing in but once the money stopped flowing the expenses remained. This is critically dangerous in any business, especially one dependent on people showing up in crowds when crowds aren't even possible. And remember that those early pandemic shows were completely empty - no money was being made at all off those but the expenses all remained.
Wrestlers still expect their agreed upon salaries regardless of people show up, after all.
It wasn't mismanagement. It's a miracle they made it through.

RIZIN is the biggest MMA promotion in Japan. It's top three worldwide. It dwarfs NJPW in terms of popularity, mainstream appeal, and attendance. It never struggled.
More to the point, no sport in Japan struggled as much as NJPW, and there's far, far bigger names and sports out there than something as niche as pro-wrestling.
It 100% is mismanagement and it continues to this day.

But we've veered far from the original point - namely, that WWE is the most prestigious company in the world and it's the most prestigious precisely because it's a behemoth (a well-managed one at that) that's maintained the largest fanbase in the country with the most pro-wrestling fans for the last two decades.
That doesn't make it better (I prefer Stardom and Marigold personally) but, for better or for worse, it is the big leagues for most of these gals.

Do to nip economic policy they haven't had inflation in like 30 years, which is based, if you buy something in nipland it's the same prices as it was in like 1995 or was until recently.
The issue is japanese money is basically worthless compared to USD. so like jewgle says a meal for 2 at a nice japanese restaraunt is 5k jpy which is like $35 USD. a cheap meal is 1k which is like $6.85 and mcdonalds is like 750jpy which is like $5.
