The rumor was for a while they were keeping Jack and the Young Bucks away for a while so they could return as faces against the Death Riders. Then the Bucks returned without Perry, and were still heels anyway, so no one really knows why he's still gone. He hasn't been on TV since last November, and it's not like he's off in Japan again. He's literally just sitting at home collecting a paycheck to do nothing.
