Supposedly, Blue Demon was booked to be Pentagon's master and had to put him over at Ultima Lucha. And at one point Blue Demon went "that doesn't work for me brother" and Vampiro stepped in and said he'll do it instead. Which made him return to wrestling after like 10 years and several neck surgeries.

Everyone who is a regular in S1-S3 will look better in Lucha Underground than literally anywhere else so don't get too excited about following them in other promotions.

That's the magic of LU. Playing to the strengths of every wrestler. Just shut him up, give him a mask and let him flip. Ricochet as a face is absolutely awful on the mic. His current AEW work shows he's a good annoying heel though.

The first 10 episodes are quite frankly whatever.
There's some good stuff involving Big Ryck/Puma/Mundo but its largely forgatteable. Everything kinda gets into a groove by the time of Aztec Warfare tho

LU was great at the time but I wouldnt want to watch it again. In hindsight theres a lot of filler and matches that didnt matter. guys didnt really move up the card either, there was never any hint of a guy like texano or big rick winning the belt
