How the fuck did TNA do it? I remember it being a laughingstock of the industry that has been on the verge of dying for years now. It went from being an antagonistic "NOTICE ME, SENPAI!" adversary to WWE for years and now they're number 2. And a FIRM number 2, Fucking what?

Meltzer's business analysis is generally correct. Also in no world is TNA anywhere close to number 2.

That said, TNA have been in a period of sustained growth in terms of live attendance and hot crowds. Meltzer has always had a problem with TNA and in the past has false reports that they are close to dying.

For example, last year in May he reported that things weren't looking good because they had no shows booked after Slammiversary. This was, however, simply the normal booking timeframe for the company. However the 'sheets ran with Meltzer's news and created the impression that TNA was perpetually in trouble. I think this stems from Meltzer's disdain for TNA's style of wrestling.

This is all correct. TNA has some real issues too, not just being on a bad channel, but problems with the product itself, even just on the production side. But Dave and a lot of his fellow smarks want it to fail and they're barely bothering to hide it.
