Notice how everyone has too long of an entrance now? 20 years ago you had to get down and into the ring in like 40 seconds tops unless you were a main eventer. Now everyone has 2 minutes to do a dance routine and time their movements to their songs

Everything takes longer now. Promos drone on to fill time, entrances to pad time, matches are dragged out to fill time. Instead of cutting all that shit in half and giving the rest of the roster time to do stuff, WWE just uses the same few to spin the wheels.

The announcers need time to set the scene, talk about recent developments, talk about the upcoming PPV/PLE match, it's all part of the process. That's in addition to whatever the wrestler is doing on the way to the ring connecting with fans, posing for pictures, everything else. The hallmark of shitty feds is having no entrance ramp and walking on flat ground straight to the ring.

JCW, AAA, CMLL, HOG, GCW, MLW, NJPW, AEW, DPW, RevPro, Stardom, every fed that matters has longer entrances, and even then, the ones doing the shittiest have announcers that just fucking sit there like fat lazy fucks not saying anything. It's the promotion's responsibility to make the most of the time.
