Obese smelly smarks only liked him because they pitied him as the "Inoki Victim" when he had no other redeeming factors, so they latched on to him with their own victim complex. Inoki as right burying this anti draw geek
>Inoki: hey guy with little to no MMA or shoot fighting training >Inoki: I'm going to need you to have a shoot fight with Crocop and Fedor to defend the honor of pro wrestling >Inoki: What? Uh... no, I'm too old. I couldn't. I'm retired. But I would if I could, and I would win too. Did you know I beat Muhammad Ali? >Inoki: Sure, I've never had an officiated contest that was full contact but... >Inoki: Anyway, it'll be fine! Gambate! >*ruins your career so he can get massive pops and pretend to be the "father of MMA" in you're path*
How do you respond without sounding mad?

He was boring as shit. In his era of larger than life wrestlers like Sasaki, Takayama and Fujita, he would be my last option to make world champ, which was what ended up happening because he did nothing special to stand out.

Well I agree with you about those three all being way better than him. I still think he's a great hand to have on your roster, just not the Ace or in that upper mix very long.
And the Sasaki match at the Dome is one of the best matches ever. He also had that great match with Tanahashi in 2007 where he lost the belt to him, and that helped solidify him even more as the quickly rising to be Ace

Fujinami was the Bob Backlund of Japan: solid, dependable wrestler who was respected by the boys and the fans, but lacked charisma and really shouldn't have gotten the title runs that he did
i always seen him as the bret hart of njpw, reliable and solid but not particularly groundbreaking in any particular way and felt rather boring personality wise by contrast to his peers

wtf is your post
first of all calling fujinami just a 'solid, dependable wrestler' is retarded, he's one of the best workers of all time
secondly fujinami was charismatic and over as hell
thirdly backlund was a massive draw in his wwwf title reign and only fell away towards the end
so congrats you managed to be wrong on every point

Backlund at the end looked horrible when he switched to the singlet. I did really enjoy the matches I've seen of his as WWWF Champion though.
