They're doing alright. They were perennial tag contenders/champs in AEW so they don't have the same stripes yet in WWE, and the tag belts are way less important. So it's kind of inevitable. Also, Fenix is SUPER injury prone.

Absolutely murdered by that Pebble line in that promo. Never recovered. He was already not doing too well coming out of Team Taz. The only chance he would have had from recovering from that would be getting a whole new gimmick and proving he's more than that, but he didn't. Then Tony knew he would leave because he's Cody's friend and stopped booking him. Now as a nepo hire in NXT there's almost no chance he'll ever do anything different or improve. Shawn can lead a horse to water, but he can't make Ricky not stink.

She had a great spot in AEW, and was in no small part, carried by better talent, and now she's just kind of lost.
