"We’re thrilled with the performance of WWE programming as a whole. From the start in January to now, it’s just been everything we could hope for and more, and a really great partnership.” - Netflix VP Of Sports Gabe Spitzer

Once again the PLE's have not left NBC. They are on Peacock exclusively, their streaming platform of 41 million, as they always have been. The WWE content is made to drive subscriptions to that platform, just like ESPN is trying to use them to drive subscribers to their new app.

The non-NXT PLEs are exclusively on ESPN now. They are no longer on Peacock.

The problem is unlike you, the majority of people are not poor and only interested in watching wrestling. That cope where Dave says and AEW did poor because of the NFL, NBA, NHL, Women's Pickle game of the week? There is no crossover between people who watch that shit and AEW. There is crossover for that shit and WWE. That is why people buy packages to go see its major shows like Summerslam and spend thousands to travel, and AEW has to offer a free burger with a ticket. The point is that those people don't mind shelling out for the ESPN app because theyve been asking for it. Everyone expected ESPN+ to be the app that would have games and shit and it didn't. There are people who have cable merely because they want ESPN and their games. Now they have it on streaming. The WWE shows are a great bonus for them. No one is going to mind spending $30 for ESPN, Disney and Hulu. Want Peacock? It's like $5 more. If you can't spend $35 a month maybe you should stop posting on a wrestling board all day and prioritize your life.

There is more crossover from normies with WWE ala they get slaughtered by Monday Night Football every single year as Triple Nose also takes the season off. Like how you leave that out. ESPN is going to treat it like shit once they actually understand what they get, and you do not get all that access with the $30 a month deal, just ESPN like it was cable.

>There is more crossover from normies with WWE ala they get slaughtered by Monday Night Football every single year
Everything loses to football. No one is arguing that and no one has. Of the top 100 watched shows every year 90 or more of them are NFL games. If WWE can't compete with the NFL no other fed has a chance especially you spill blood for. The fact ESPN has been courting WWE content for almost decade says they value it and want it, hence paying billions for it which you left out. Here's the kicker. ESPN acquired the NFL network this year also. It picked up 3 more NFL games with that. That means every NFL game they broadcast on that app will have ads for WWE content. And when a special PLE comes around they will absolutely market the shit out of it and have crossovers with NFL content. The amount of eyeballs that will see that is going to make you want to kill yourself. More people will know about a WWE event in 10 seconds than 5 years worth of AEW content.

>For Spitzer, the plot-driven nature of WWE programming crosses over beyond the streamer’s sports strategy and dips into the overall goal of entertainment that Netflix strives to achieve.“When we did the deal, we thought about, ‘This is just 52 weeks of, in some ways, an incredible Telenovela,’” Spitzer said, applauding WWE heads Nick Khan and Paul “Triple H” Levesque for raising the bar creatively week in and week out.
>“It’s hardcore sports programming, but it’s got the storylines that carry you throughout the whole year.”While one might expect WWE viewers’ Netflix profiles to lean toward sports documentaries or action flicks, the storytelling attracts a broader audience.
>Over 55%of current Netflix subscribers who watched “Monday Night Raw” also watched “Happy Gilmore 2,” for example, while nearly 40% also watched “KPop Demon Hunters.”“It’s bringing in kids, men, women, everyone. So it’s not like they’re just watching WWE and turning and watching standup comedy. It’s everything from a ‘Bridgerton’ to ‘Squid Game’ to standup,” Spitzer said. “It’s pretty family-friendly overall.”
