I don't know why people in America get back surgeries unless they absolutely need to. Two people in my family dead and it pretty much killed one and turned another into a raving drug addict. Even celebrities like Hogan get fucked up by it and they can afford better treatment (maybe not?) than most people get. That's one thing I'll avoid, I'd rather deal with the man than just get killed by poojat phdaristan or melancholiqua spilling full bed pans all over my open surgery hole

Joint replacement is the same way. Seen it a million times. They get it done and it still hurts but the doctor pushed them to do it. Then they got it so young that they have to get it replaced again since they wear out themselves and then run into complications with surgeries when they’re older.

I went to an NHS hospital to have my gallbladder removed (1hr long routine operation). I was under for 6 hours because the surgeon split open the gallbladder accidentally and they had to spend 4 hours scraping the inner walls of my abdomen collecting gallstones and bile. Oh and when they stitched me up one of the stitches on my chest was done incorrectly and split as soon as I moved, resulting in additional stitches to the lining under my skin (was painful as fuck and done under local anesthetic while I was awake). Horrible.

I'm deathly afraid of surgery. I'm not rich enough to get a top guy and I know enough to know what mid level students are like. They cut corners, they make mistakes, etc... they aren't perfect which is why they aren't top guys in their field. And if they aren't perfect it means they have a significant probability of screwing up and killing me. And then blaming it on some bullshit. I'm not anyone special so why would they make some sort of a special effort on me? I'm the type they would screw up on.
