James really fucking beats a joke into the ground during the course of any episode but they’re fine otherwise.

Deadlock is funny enough that I forgive them for being obnoxious liberal faggots in their personal lives
Anonymous No.18627273 >>18627295
all the deadlock videos synced up to the actual old episodes of wcw and shit is the best wrestling content outside actual wrestling. Johny and james are actually funny dudes.

deadlock was good, but they ran out of good shows to review. they have branched out a tad, but largely refuse to do anything not attitude era or ruthless aggression. just gets old, especially when its gotten to the point where they can't even do the dirtsheet segments due to them having covered everything from the era now. the patreon videos are still fun to binge though.

I like NotSam Wrestling. And I like his new SiriusXM wrestling show too. I like it because Sam is just a big fan who really likes wrestling and doesn't go into it looking for stuff to criticize, but stuff to praise and speculate about.

Jim Cornette's podcasts are usually pretty good bedtime stories.
I sleep to them every night.
Sometimes there's too much bitching about shit that isn't wrestling, when it's a funny story I cackle in bed but when it's kvetching at the art guy or a political thing, I'd rather not and tend to skip ahead.
Stevie Richards has a good show once a week.

Wrestle Me. They're the only podcast I've listened to that doesn't have obnoxious running gags that's them patting themselves on the back for how funny they are, ala OSW review

there's a goldmine of shitty and absurd stuff there that they just don't do because they seem to get up their own ass about that era and would rather watch a filler smackdown from 2000 instead.

i think its also just oversaturation that fucks them there. the running gags weren't as bad when they only had an episode every few months, now they pump them out a ton.

>>18628666
NTA but I find their latest episodes for the past couple of years to just be completely unwatchable. It takes like 20 minutes to get to the actual review, and then they have "segments" every time that take up too much time and really get grating after you've listened to them for years. Mr. OCC is completely checked out too, and he used to be the funniest part of the show.

Any podcast by a wrestler you like who doesn't say shit that makes you stop liking them.
As far as fan podcasts, there are only two, must see matches and way of the blade. Same format, each episode is about a match, they give you the history leading to the match and then why the match is good and why you should watch it. Must See Matches is based off a poll that was conducted to rate the best matches ever. And Way of the Blade existed to promote a book of the same premise, but solely focuses on matches with high levels of violence and blood.

James is fine but I only listen/watch the syncs so maybe all that bullshit is cut. I don't mind any of them for the most part but it's weird how silent Tony is for a majority and Johnny's funny but he seems like he'd be a huge faggot to deal with personally. He's the one that goes "erm maybe things weren't so epic" the most. Like we GET IT nigga, you don't need to keep saying it.
Anonymous No.18630882
>>18630799
James to me seems to pick one joke per episode and says it 500 times. Like one about Gangrel being a locker room leader and taping up his fists to handle problems. Fucking swear James said it for every segment they reviewed. Tony doesn’t say a lot but he’s got a way better memory than the other two and seems to notice details they gloss over. It is funny listening to earlier episodes and hearing how much more talkative he is. I think having a wife and kids drained his soul.
