To normal people, that probably meant allowing a certain amount of grace to make contact for the sake of the performance, not "go completely berserk with bloodlust and mercilessly execute this person on stage".

He especially fucked up when even after, attempting to further injure anyone stopping him, then fleeing the scene and threatening staff. He clearly establishes his intent to harm, and not that it was a performance gone awry, in any way. No remorse what so ever. Even if this was an MMA match, he would be charged, fined and banned for life.
