From what I understand it's in a weird thing where an American could buy it but you'd have to honor all existing business arrangements and you can't attempt to operate the company any differently in a way where it would change what it was before to just strip mine it. Even for Tony, he realizes he'd just be giving Bushiroad a big fat check to be the owner on paper while taking on the debt of a company that isn't hot right now. And unlike ROH he can't try to just make it a feeder league/his personal Japanese toybox. He'd have to also put up a bond in assurance of good faith to run the company. His dad lawyer's would never allow him to buy it unless he wants to do so with his own personal money/share of the inheritance. Which is what he is sort of doing now but when the dad is dead this is on paper money he's not gonna get from probate court/estate because it was already given to him. He'd probably have to spend as much as he did to get AEW running just on the legal process alone. Then have to pay bushiroad whatever inflated number their salaryman, never went to a wrestling show aside from Inoki or baba day in his life, says it's worth. and that will be something hilariously over the top like 22 billion yen.
