Anyone with a functioning brain knew the TKO deal was going to slowly kill WWE. Vince with all of his faults was just one man and one man can never match the utter incompetence of your average American corporation. The business model for TKO (and most major American businesses in general) isn’t to sell a good product to keep and acquire customers, it’s to milk the pay pigs dry till they have nothing left. I don’t think TKO realizes how fucking poor and stupid wrestling marks are though, there was already not much left for them to take. AEW has a huge advantage in just being a vanity project, it doesn’t need to make money, I don’t think Tony is a talented booker but he’s not going to actively price out his audience because he doesn’t need to worry about making share holders happy.
