Appearing on Austin’s 1300 The Zone radio station, Henry read a statement where he doubled down on his original opinion that Syko Stu should've learned how to win a shoot fight if he were to make it in the wrestling business. Some online pushed back hard, accusing Henry of defending Jackson or minimizing the violence. He responded directly to those accusations.

This. Stu could've easily fight Raja off when he came into the ring and pick him up if he wanted to. It was agreed upon. The ref didn't intervene either. Raja didn't know how to do a work slam, so it became a shoot one with Stu getting knocked out. The 21 unanswered punches were completely uncalled for and excessive. If Raja had any brain power, he would've known that after the first two punches with no reaction or protection from Stu, that something is wrong.... yet there came 19 more because Raja is a dumb thug idiot who just couldn't stop himself and had to be pulled off on e everyone saw that Stu wasn't protecting himself... they noticed it earlier than Raja... think about it for a second. That's irrelevant any way, no amount of fighting expertise would have helped him in that very specific scenario, where you give your body to somebody and let them grab and swing at you in the context of a fake wrestling show because it's fake. That's partially what makes this event so shocking, because it shows how vulnerable defenseless you are in a wrestling match. If you're going to let somebody swing their fist towards your face because you're expecting a pulled punch, there is nothing you can do about it if they decide to knock you out for real and beat you half to death while you're unconscious.

This part I agree with. How many other feds openly allow their roster to indulge in pre-show drinking/smoking? You have to be sober, alert, and firing on all cylinders for a match lest you make the fight look like trash or botch a spot and put yourself or someone else in the hospital (or worse). Even the Rattlesnake who would take a foam bath every night as a gimmick would typically only do so when promo'ing or AFTER a match in victory. And when he did, he allowed most of the can contents to run down the side of his body to accentuate for the camera while minimizing any buzz.

HOWEVER, Stu was clearly operating under false assumptions that the "backstage" was billed a place where workers can work so he acted accordingly and when he found out otherwise tried to immediately extend a hand of apology to make things right. There was no universe where any of that merited him getting his face and teeth plastered in.

Also, NO, wrestlers should not have to be able to shoot fight to do well. It's not the same thing and real fights look ugly and frankly awkward as Raja demonstrated (a Ken Shamrock or Steve Blackman he fucking never will be). But for arguments sake let's even say Stu could shoot fight with the best, getting surprised picked up from behind and slammed into the mat for an immediate KO following by 21 drills to the head while out was a coward's attack that even the most hardcore MMA authority would never condone.
