What does that have to do with the Scottish market, which WWE burned by jobbing Drew for a quick buck, but AEW just bought a lot of goodwill with by booking people they had never seen and may never see again in Tanahashi's case as it's his retirement year.

I doubt AEW book shows like that week in week out, but I'd rather watch 4-5 hours of wrestling with a couple minutes of promos than coconut community theatre or The Zestytaker.

I got to indies at least once a month, I go see the Fed whenever they are in town, I shouldn't need to watch it on TV to enjoy the matches. The "casual fan" is WWE's bread and butter. The mudshows are better match quality and better value for money, that's hilarious.

AEW was priced only slightly higher than the mudshows and was a massive production.

You know, she learned this from listening to internet fans almost exclusively. Typical young woman obsessed with social media, which fits right in at AEW, a company whose own head is obsessed with it as well as rating metrics that mean nothing outside of the company's own advertising viability.

She's not intelligent. I don't know one person who cares about AEW, including an old friend who was so hyped about them in 2019 that he truly believed they could take on WWE from a business market share standpoint. Her belt collector gimmick is old and irrelevant in the modern age, which describes much of what AEW is doing, in storylines or otherwise. Today, to make something of yourself, it takes a lot more than just proving how good of a wrestler you are, and belt collector gimmicks are directly tied to resting on how 'good' of a wrestler you are.

AEW proves time and time again it does not appropriately understand how to position talent up and down the card. We all know Mercedes will one day return to WWE, and she will renege on her current sentiments, either bold-faced and without remorse or with the explanation that it was for 'the times' or marketing. There was no more room for her in WWE when she left, and they made a clone of her in Bianca Belair anyway.
