It's a fair question. From a non-wrestler, non-celebrity standpoint, there really aren't a lot of non-wrestlers inducted into the HoF. It's really just Bischoff, Paul Bearer, and Howard Finkel. Bischoff is a no-brainer. Bearer was part of the Undertaker era, and Finkel spent his entire career with the various iterations of the WWE. Those guys had extenuating circumstances. Cornette was more a product of Southern Rasslin, was only a part of the TV production for a few years at WWE's low point, and how do you induct him and not the Midnight Express? And if you do induct the Midnight Express, who do you induct? There were like 15 iterations of the group.

I don't expect HoF nominees to blow the company in order to get the spot, nobody does. Unless there's a come to Jesus moment, I don't think Jim will make it to putting a speech in of his own, his induction will be post mortem at this rate.

And when it comes to his career, his contributions as the manager of two gay tag teams and various work that lead to stars like Brock and Cena are somewhat notable, sure, but it's not like first ballot type of priority for anyone.
