Technically Dave says they do 300k-500K on Max and to understand why that makes no sense, that would they are getting 50% of their cable audience on streaming. The NFL (THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE) aired the SUPER BOWL on Tubi, Tubi routinely outranks HBO Max in the Nielsen usage charts and it's FREE.
The NFL could only get 15M viewers on the live stream, 10% of the the Super Bowl TV audience.
Since AEW literally didn't see a large decrease in ratings after the HBO Max stream, that 300k-500k number must be 1 of 3
1. AEW going 300K-500k new fans once they went to Max, which isn't reflected by any other metrics
2. 300k-500k AEW fans returned to watch AEW, which is literally more than the company has ever had, even at it's peak
3. The baseline # of viewers on the Max Live Stream is like 200K, which we can kind of guess isn't true because Zalsav said it's not a big number.
Warner Bros is going to leave the sports business once the split happens, so why would they have a live stream on Max?
