>Kakuto Tanteidan' press conference has concluded. The main announcement was that Takuya Nomura, who was initially diagnosed with a lung condition, was found to have kidney failure after detailed examinations. As a result, he will be taking an indefinite leave of absence and will miss the Shinjuku tournament on October 23rd. Keita Yano will be taking Nomura's place against Manabu Hara.
>However, Nomura's kidneys are not bad enough to require dialysis. In any case, we hope that he will now focus on his treatment. Apparently, President Tosaka Eiji and Hidaka Ikuto were also present because they were worried about Abe Fuminori attending the press conference alone.

No idea what kind of lung condition Nomura suffers but there is a connection https://academic.oup.com/ndt/advance-article/doi/10.1093/ndt/gfaf077/8122104
But getting cured for a X condition and you find Y (or whatever medication/treatment you are taking can cause Y) is more common than you expect

>Fujita squashed Kaito
Oh, NOAH.

Kaito needs to get out. Either make a bid for New Japan or WWE. And I hate WWE, but at least he'll get the bag.

It's a discussion for another time maybe, but I don't see how Japanese wrestling is going to survive at this rate. What is it going to look like a decade from now? It's already almost 2026. The 2020s are halfway over.
Anonymous No.18816828 [Report] >>18817963
The big 3 have never been this bleak. At least in the 2000s you still had the legends around. Unless someone gets lucky with a star or angle, it just feels like the slow death of a scene. Which has arguably been the case since the 2000s anyway.

>If surgery is required, it seems like the injury is severe, and it will take 3 to 6 months to return to play
>The recovery time from a Lisfranc ligament injury varies greatly depending on the severity of the injury, from a few weeks for mild cases to several months or longer for severe cases or those requiring surgery. Generally, the recovery time is 2 to 4 weeks for mild cases, 4 to 6 weeks for moderate cases, and 6 weeks or more for severe cases, with full recovery typically taking around 3 to 6 months. Staged rehabilitation is essential and the key to recovery is rest, range of motion exercises, and strength and balance training, all under the guidance of a specialist, over an appropriate period.

>A press conference was held on the 17th at AJPW’s Tokyo Yushima office for the upcoming Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship match “Jun Saito vs. Kento Miyahara” at the September 23 Tachikawa event.

>On September 15 at the Korakuen show, Kento Miyahara defeated Ryuki Honda in the finals to win the Ōdō Tournament for the third time, his first in three years. After the match, he declared his challenge for the Triple Crown at Tachikawa on the 23rd, which champion Jun accepted—setting up a clash of champion vs. tournament winner.

>Since losing the title in February 2023, Miyahara has been kept from the Triple Crown for 2 years and 7 months. “I haven’t forgotten this belt for a single day. This belt is what drives Kento Miyahara as a pro wrestler,” he said, showing his deep attachment to the prize. Yet during that span, he’s had five failed challenges—in October and December 2023, May and September 2024, and March of this year.

>Now, however, his first singles triumph in 16 months since last year’s Champion Carnival gives him momentum. He previously won the Triple Crown after both of his prior Ōdō Tournament victories (2018 and 2022). “Third time’s the charm,” said “the best man,” who added, “I’m sure many wrestling fans want to see me with the Triple Crown again. In 2024 and 2025, fans have had to endure the frustrating wait of me not being able to wear it. I want to finally make them feel clear and satisfied.”
Anonymous No.18834187 [Report]
>>18834182
>The Tachikawa event’s X stream hashtag has been set as “#ZenNichiAutumnDreamSpace.” Miyahara called on fans: “On September 23, let’s create this autumn dream space of ZenNichi together.” Aiming to make his seventh Triple Crown reign the core of it, he declared, “Exciting, heart-pounding, bright, fun, intense pro wrestling—that’s my other theme for the day. I’ll embody that in the ring and show everyone all of Kento Miyahara. And in that, I will absolutely wear the Triple Crown.”

>Champion Jun, defending for the eighth time since fending off Yuma Aoyagi at the August 10 Matsumoto show, had exited the Ōdō Tournament in the first round to Ren Ayabe. “I don’t really want to dwell on that loss, so I try not to think about it. As champion, all I need to do is defend the Triple Crown from Kento Miyahara,” he said, already refocused.

>On Miyahara’s tournament win, Jun remarked, “Wasn’t that the 100% Kento Miyahara out there? He’s always been a wrestler with ability, and anyone can see he’s the epitome of a pro wrestler. For him to bring out all he has and win the Ōdō Tournament—it’s only natural, even if I lost in the first round.” At the same time, he pointed to his own record of seven defenses since winning the title last New Year’s Eve: “Since the start of this year, I can say with confidence that Jun Saito has become stronger.” He boasted, “If I take that 100% Jun Saito and push it to 120%, and put everything I have into it, I can beat even this current Kento Miyahara.”

>B Block
It's disappointing with only 3 potential winners already narrowed... and none being particularly interesting, but OZAWA going down on Day 1 was a catastrophic disruption to the plans.

Marufuji is simply washed and doesn't need the rub, nor does he need the spotlight of yet another title match this year. Galleno is still a bit too green for my liking but Jack Morris is stale as all hell. Galleno would be my first choice, if only because it'd be unexpected. Then I guess Marufuji wouldn't be completely terrible, especially because you just have him lose to the A-Block winner anyway. Fuck Morris, snooze fest.

>A Block
Quit your bitching! There's no less than 4 guys that could overtake Fujita and Soya could tie him. It's still wide open and a few key players are poised for a big win.

Kiyomiya is still in it and could use the rub. KENTA doesn't need the rub but his matches have been better than expected, so if he wins so be it. Masa is an excellent heel, perhaps the best heel of the big Japanese 3 right now, and it makes sense to have him carry the heel banner if OZAWA is going to be on the shelf. Endo is still in the race as well, again... not necessarily someone I'd want to win but his matches would be good to great at least.

Who's knocked out that you really miss? Ulka? Daga? C'mon now, be serious. Fujita is a fucking beast, and the booking has been on point... create a wall early in the tournament, then have an underdog triumph over them. Booking 101.

EVEN IF Fujita won the N-1 it'd still be better than any tournament NJPW or AJPW put on this year.

Cope? How?

I'm a fan of all 3 companies, I watch them all. I want excellent tournaments, and satisfying results. I take no pleasure in any company failing because it just means I am stuck choosing between 3 flavors of crap.

AJPW squandered every shred of talent they had in the Champion Carnival. Abysmal matches, and atrocious winner... which led to a completely dull title challenge. The recent Royal Road (Odo) tournament had dogshit matches and a decent, if predictable, winner.

The G1 was a funeral for the Reiwa Muskateers future prospects. It was a prolonged rimjob for AEW, at the expense of cucking their own talent.

So... no, I don't think the N-1 has been flawless but it's been a solid B+ in a year of failures.

Maybe? He's the Champion now so they might had arranged something for the future.
>Until now, I’ve been dancing without greetings, driven solely by admiration, and for the first time, I had the chance to meet you and receive a proper scolding. But your words, telling me to at least dance like a hip-shaking Frankenstein if I’m going to do it, and above all, hearing various things and feelings for the first time, made me realize the weight of this dance. Though I’ve been dancing until now, I’ve resolved to take it to heart and dance with that weight in mind from now on.

not sure who this is but a report from Taishin Nagao's funeral:

>I attended Taishin Nagao’s funeral.
>At the entrance, seeing wrestler Hideki Suzuki among the attendees surprised me deeply, but also moved me to the verge of tears that he had come all the way to Kushiro.

>As the funeral progressed, the ring announcer recited Nagao’s career history, and it concluded with a “Taishin Nagao” call. When there was an awkward silence because nobody knew when to begin, Hideki Suzuki was the very first to shout out loudly, “Taishin!” (Apologies if I’m mistaken.) Thanks to that, everyone was able to join together in a loud chorus, and we were able to send Taishin off properly. I truly cannot thank Hideki Suzuki enough.

>Finally, Taishin Nagao, please rest peacefully. We will never forget you.
>It might take some time, but eventually we’ll come to where you are.
>Thank you for being here with us, like family.
>Until we meet again.

since it's shinjuku face might be another mind swap match but might be too early for that?? but still, dieno nowadays is really vanilla in comparison of things he used to do, rookies are lucky
