I'm well aware this is meant to be one of those threads where we view non-wrestling things through a wrestling lens but this reminds me of how my local insider clique of vets bought the book of a promotion in town just so they could instantly book themselves at the bottom of the card as a comedy jobber stable that they've been talking about doing for years. You can tell Okada enjoyed the balloon gimmick after he first lost the title... Maybe there's a latent comedy jobber in every main eventer.
