AEW is doing what it set out to do, entertain Cagematch smarks. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but I don't think it's a challenger brand at all. The only reason WWE treated them like competition is because of the Wednesday Night Wars and because WWE are pissed Tony is offering talent more cash and taking potential talent from them. It may have outlasted Nitro but it will never quite reach the same viewership. It would be fun for there to be an actual crazy Monday Night Wars level wrestling war again but it's just not gonna happen.
