I think Tiffany Stratton could have used that Crown Jewel win more than Stephanie Vaquer.
It would have made Tiffany look more legit on par with Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Trish Stratus, Jade Cargill, even Nia Jax etc.
It wouldn't have hurt Vaquer in the least bit.
It would have just come off as if Stephanie ran into an undefeated red hot star who no one had beaten.
it's not like Vaquer would've lost the Raw Women's World Championship Belt or anything.

If they're going to make anything of her and see any star potential in her, which they clearly do, then the time to act is now. It's like how they did with AJ Styles. I get what your saying. They could have given Tiffany a year long undefeated streak and then used breaking it on crowning a new WWE Womens Champion. At the same time Stephanie had just won her title and losing might have made her look weak when they are still trying to build her up. Tiffany is over already so I could have went either way with it. As a Tiffany fan it was just nice to see her in the ring with somebody who could actually go.
