And before anyone thinks they're smart and chimes in "but the crowd is bigger"... New Japan runs shows multiple times a week. They run shows across the country. People can go see them any time.
WWE rarely does shows in Japan. If there was interest, people from all over the country would come see the show because that would be their one chance.
That crowd is pitiful and there is no way WWE is more popular in Japan than NJPW or even most domestic companies.
