this was something some fans have complained about since last year. not all of them, but some people were definitely saying it, that the actual NXT wrestlers, particularly the girls, were getting sidelined for the hottest indie acquisitions of the week. giulia, stephanie, jordynne, zaria, mariah.
not as bad for the guys but ricky, ethan and joe hendry definitely ate up a lot of screen time too.

i forgot about jevon but he's an indie guy too. he was the breakout star of DPW. saquon shugars and jackson drake (evolve) also came from there.
i think people didn't complain as much because the homegrown men's roster for NXT just is so weak outside of oba and trick so the indie guys were welcome to liven the scene up. but you had some real talent with the girls, that was now being pushed aside.
imo they should once again grab a bunch of indie guys from evolve because when trick oba and ethan get called up in the near future, jevon can't carry the show on his own.
