I haven't watched Stardom in like 3 years so it's really funny to me that she's apparently this big promo and character worker now because she used to be so fucking bland and directionless it was unwatchable to me

Its funny how Stardom fans seethe and cry whenever theres a heel thats not an edgy teenage goth or fat as fuck goth. They malded at DDM, they malded at sareee, they talk about the characters so much but anyone thats not an emo brat is too complicated for them.

Rossy gets a lot of flak, but he knows what works in this business, seeing as he's been in it for around 40 years or so.
White Belt Saya was the right call. And, indeed, Saya was a botching shitter for a long time but you have to take risks doing the risky moves in order to get good at them. And she's gotten quite good at them - and will only get better as time goes on.

I think it was AZM who made a comment once that Saya is basically fearless and that's why she'd make a good face for the company
Gotta be fearless to pull off moves like those in front of an audience

I mean her White Belt reign was mostly from 2022 to early 2023. In ring she had hits and misses but she evolved in her expression as performer through that time.

Exactly.
Like I said, she's only going to keep getting better. The heel angle is likely temporary - she's the Phoenix after all. So I can see her rising to become the traditional Ace of the company.
And most of all, it helps that she's Tam's protege, whom I'm sure is still directing her behind the scenes.
