Honestly they don't need a ton if that is the preference. They can break the roster down as:
>Hontai (Lawful Faces)
Goto
Umino
Uemura
Oleg
ELP
Taichi
YOSHI-HASHI
Desperado
Akira
Wato
YOH
TAKA
Most of the Lions
>New Faction A (Neutral Faces - like UE/TMDK)
Tsuji
O-Khan
Oiwa
Hiromu
Ishimori
Robbie X
Young
Gedo
>New Faction B (Abrasive Faces - like old LIJ/current War Dogs)
Ice
OSKAR
Shingo
Drilla
Callum
Henare
Fujita
Eagles
Nagai
>House of Torture (Chaotic Heels)
They have enough members

NJPW running more shows which means there is more demand is unfair! It's... grim! The yakuza are... preventing NOAH from running more shows, yeah, that's the ticket, and if that didn't happen, they'd outdraw NJPW easily! Yeah!!!

Being first in an industry where the average puroresu show looks like >>19198274 is nothing to be proud of.
>>19199309
Yes retard, having 2 Tokyo Dome shows inflates the numbers. It doesn't change the fact they did very grim numbers and that even with 2 Dome shows and Trannyhashi's retirement tour they're barely doing better than in 2024. Trannyhashi's retirement is their last hope to make a decent number, after that it's all grim and no, the fatass judoka won't draw a dime.

Nothing unfair about doing 16k in the Tokyo Dome which is very grim. But if you're not 12 years old you can still understand that doing 2 grim Dome shows instead of one grim Dome show will make a difference. But Wrestle Dynasty was so grim that Bushiroad's financial report showed they still lost money anyway, which is the real grim thing about all of this.

There is simply 0 way to rationalize only being down 1k on the year after losing Naito as anything but a win.

You can seethe, you can sputter, you can dribble spit on your lil' bib but it doesn't make it any less true.
The fact that NJPW had as good of a year as it did while not getting behind any new stars, in total rebuilding mode, is good. Tanahashi's retirement is selling extremely well, and Wolf is getting them some national headlines.

Things are unironically looking quite good for NJPW's future.
On top of that, the Humble Wolf just came out as an Ishii/Shibata-head. I'm hyped for the next few years but that's because I'm an actual fan of Japanese wrestling and not some sputtering joshi idolfag like yourself.

>>19199473
Trannyhashi's retirement tour is carrying and the grim Dynasty show makes the numbers look better than they are because they actually lost money. If everything was going so well why can't they sign any of their dudes ? Why are so many people leaving ? They don't have the money. Naito's drawing power was already weaker in 2024 because everyone could see he was completely sawdusted and grim and him getting another hot potato reign didn't do him any favor.

>What you have done in 2025, has gotten an incredible number of eyes on STARDOM and women's wrestling. You are more than MVP worthy, so I'm definitely excited to wrestle that Saya Kamitani. January 4 in the Tokyo Dome, I'm happy and honoured to have this match. So many new fans will see how great Women's wrestling is, and after that incredible match we'll have, I will be the winner. That is where women's wrestling won't lose out, and that's why it's important for us to show exactly how great this is on this stage. #njwk20

I was so happy to see the IWGP title made, and that became the goal I worked toward for a full year. But I lost the belt right away. I never got to have the champion's road I wanted. Now I had surgery, came back, won the IWGP again and finally I can show my era again. I want more and more people to see how great women's wrestling is, me and the two IWGP and STRONG belts. >Let's see which is better. I beat you and I am better than any Olympic medal. Can you step to me? You're scared of your debut, right? So I'll make it even more pressured! I'll put this NEVER title on the line and make sure you're humiliated.

>Tsuji: I have something I have to do.
I need to restore the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
I don't think fans have a good impression of double title matches. But to get the IWGP Heavyweight back, I needed to have this Global title, and now I need to have this double title match.
Now I have it, I plan to create a new golden era for NJPW.

>Takeshita: It's special to be an IWGP Champion in the Tokyo Dome, so let me be real here. As I became a fan, it was right as Antonio Inoki was retiring. For a time, TV, news, the papers, pro-wrestling was everywhere. To have seen wrestlers be in that building, and now to be a champion and wrestle there, is no greater honour.
I wrestle in America, but I believe that in terms of heart, skill, pride and spirit, there is nothing to beat Japanese wrestling.
The wrestlers, the staff and the fans being here to support this sport is why we are here today. So that's why I need to express this to parents, children, staff, media, worldwide. I want people to be proud to say that 'I was there' to see this match. And Tsuji, you need to have this match to show a bright future for NJPW right? So we will bring pro-wrestling to a new level together, and then I will win, and I will show the world just who is at the very pinnacle of it.

Good news. Well minus Takeshita holding the whole main event scene hostage.

>Tsuji: I really don't think there is anybody that can top Takeshita as a wrestler with his experience, athletic ability and mind. So beating him will make the wrestling world even more exciting. To bounce off what he said, maybe in business terms, America is on a bigger stage, but in the ring, nothing can beat NJPW

>Takeshita: If I beat him, I get two belts. I am triple contracted, and that's a tough schedule, but with two belts, I have double the title defences, and I come and wrestle in Japan more. I will defend both titles separately and would have no plans to unify them.

>Tsuji: What I want is not a unification. I want to split the world title. I want the IWGP Heavyweight title back. How does that affect the other belts? That isn't for me to say right now. I am the Global champion, not the world champion. So all I'll say right now is I win and I want the IWGP Heavyweight title back.
Anonymous No.19202516 [Report]
>Takeshita: As someone who wrestles a lot in America, let me say this. Sometimes in America, you can have the top title defended in the first match of the card. If that7s how the fans are more drawn in and how it best affects the entire event then so be it. At the Tokyo Dome, there is a very important match with Hiroshi Tanahashi as well. So where this match is on the card really doesn't matter to me and I don't think it will to Tsuji. What matters is that this is the best ever event in NJPW history, and the best send off to Tanahashi.

>Tsuji: I think the top title should be in the main event, because the top title is what every wrestler aspires to. But recently in NJPW, the IWGP isn't necessarily in the main event. I hav eno control fo that right now, so I will just focus on my own performance. As for Takeshita not being in Japan all the time, I think that is something fans feel a certain sadness toward. But I don't think that's all bad. Freshness is important. You see Yuto-Ice and OSKAR, they bring a freshness and impact wrestling hasn't seen for a long time. Someone doing something different is important.

>I know Takeshita has said he wouldn't turn down NJPW bookings. But I wonder, if all this is the case, and you put your life on the line to win that title, then what is ti you actually want to do? I feel slightly let down by what you're saying here. But I do plan on January 4 to have a match that proves NJPW is the best in the world.

The guy retiring someone always wins so if Okada wins that it's literally meaningless and something you should be glad for. Beating a guy everyone knows is losing does nothing for a young guy btw.

If Takeshita retains, that means they believe in Aaron Wolf massively and intend for him to dethrone Takeshita next year. Either that, or Uemura but definitely not Tsuji who will probably have a long redemption arc that will benefit him greatly.
This is also good but ONLY IF Takeshita actually tours with the company on the tours he should be there for (he can skip tag league, junior tours, etc) and plays the role of the gatekeeper. He also needs to commit to being a heel.
