Multiple yearly tournaments make sense when you have a sports based presentation. When your house style just looks like guys showing off their moves and not trying to win it's bad. When you're constantly doing bad sports entertainment style storylines, it's bad. When you're booking elaborate death matches with fake weapons, it's bad.

I feel like Tony does the endless tournaments because of how Japanese wrestling works but he doesn't get they do things like tag tournaments to give nights for the boys to work relaxed matches. AEW doesn't need to have this when most wrestlers are working once a week if even that, it's usually far less for many on the roster.
