This. My grandma always watches variety shows that she was on, but I never cared enough to hear about the controversy. Is Matsumoto also still cancelled?

Fuwa. Japanese comedian. Was big on youtube (1 million views per video), tons of sponsors, really living the life. Then she told someone to kill themselves on her main twitter instead of a burner account and lost everything.
Now she's trying to rehab her image by wrestling in Stardom.

was there really not more to it than that? how weak are the japanese that she had to disappear for a year from that? that's an average weekend on American twitter. Shit a guy who said worse and proudly stood by it was just elected Attorney General in Virginia.

Bullying is part of natural selection. Either you get stronger either you get eaten. It's not even bullying to say "kill yourself" holy shit. How sensitive has the world become? You guys have lived in peace for way too long.
I can understand you getting your feefees hurt but cancelling someone over banter? What the absolute fuck
Japanese actually have standards for public behavior and expect celebrities to act decently (in public). Ironically, bullying and hazing is way more common in Japanese social structures than in American ones.
