Back when I was researching into this I found some bigass deepfake writup with github stuff, only yhing is the exe needed and NVIDIA card and I had AMD so couldn't work around. Best of my knowledge, deepface labs is where you wanna start and then you wanna train a model. The more pics and angles you have the better. that's why all the best deepfakers did like streamers/Celebs. Scraped the vids of interviews with tons of angles to get a huge library of pics, so very little masking afterwork and low training time.
You can do the same with single pics but it takes wayyyy more time of groundwork. That's why most peeps use some sort of prompting engineering with single shots on here but locally, is my best guess. : O
