Because women see reality like a 90s videogame, where you have important NPCs with detailed distinctive designs and then you have tons of bland NPCs that are just the same model copypasted over and over. And because you're boring as a bland NPC, from a woman's POV you don't even exist as a person. So when they complain about "men", it's not meant against you because they don't even factor you into the account.

Women want men who are violent and assholes to everyone EXCEPT them. Of course when they start dating a violent asshole he's nice to her at first. It's only when the honeymoon period wears off that the nice mask wears off too and he starts being a violent asshole to her too.
