often feels that way, but then you get people/bots who post the same bait near daily who still get tons of engagement from posters who sound like it's the first time they're interacting with them, so unless those guys/bots are all relentlessly samefagging their own bait threads then there's probably a few hundred passing through on any given day, and we still average 10k posts a day after the april hack

That's approximately 1 ppm per person for 10 people that spam 24/7 with 66% awake uptime. So easily within the realm of manual spam, or much easier if a person is operating bots with proxies. And the claim is it's not even literally all of them, just a significant proportion of all posts.
