thats not how it works, due to genetic recombination and mutation anyone can have any sized child, tall couples can have tall kids, short kids, average kids, mixed height couples also, like my dad whos above average but with my short mom which gave him 2 short kids
even short couples can have tall kids, its just less likely
all that tall couples do is increase the likelihood of tall kids, they dont make it absolute, same with short couples. basically you'll always find outliers and exceptions. this is genetic recombination and random mutation.
height is not that easy to select for
