I'm sure kings used to slave away 50h a week to have a tiny home with mandatory plumbing and electricity and phone reception, and if for some reason they opted to build a shed in their own property the government would go there and demolish it because muh permits.

We are forced to own useless junk and accommodations just so they can then force us to work for an insane amount of time.
